I literally don’t know where to begin.

But excuse me if I simply start by . . . starting. Instead of trying to figure it all out before beginning.

My blog took a major back-seat to everything else in life in 2019 when I abandoned a personal project affectionately known as “50-Before-50”. Not only did I NOT finish 50 activities before my 50th birthday on July 23 of that year, but I haven’t written a blog post since that time.

Social media posts? Oh, heck yeah. I’ve become quite the content writer.

A new follow-up book to “Confessions of a Pastor’s Wife”? Well, yeah, I guess I earn points for penning “Thanks, We’ll Call You”.

And sure, I started a brand-new business partnering with the creative brains behind Brkich Design. Our entrepreneurial spirit combined with our love of supporting local businesses sparked Underground Beaver in 2018.

Let me just be honest. I needed a blogging break.

Funny enough, however, the dumpster-fire that was 2020 and the subsequent trashcan blaze 2021 is shaping up to be, are actually serving to clear my mind.

And thus, here I am. Let me give you a tour.

I’m a Communicator: speaker, writer, actress, director, consultant, and kooky wife to a Therapist and mother of 2.

I’m a Connector: need a product or service and not sure where to start? I love finding things for people. It began in the ’90s, back in the suburbs of Chicago, when I would literally find joy in combing the classifieds of the local paper to help in-coming seminary students find apartments. Told you I was kooky. (Today, I may ultimately tell you to “google that shit”, but I’ll give it a rookie’s try first.)

I’m a Coach: since 2010 when I first embarked on a journey for which I was terribly unqualified, I’ve studied, trained, been tested, certified, and undergone an incredible evolution in the industry of nutrition and fitness. I may be kooky, but I’m a damn good Coach.

(Oh, you should know right now. I love Jesus, but yes, I cuss a little.)

Welcome. Have your run of the place.

My site has been given a much-needed exfoliation by the brains at Site Rockstar.

My logo received not only a name change but a refreshing makeover by Rachel Aubel.

My ability to remain in touch with you has taken on an entirely new look. Try my newsletter and/or blog updates on for size – delivered directly to your email.

Be patient and gentle as I merge back onto the blogging freeway. I still have categories and tags to clean up/discard, and a new site to navigate and decorate.

Thanks for wondering where I’ve been.
